Also XM5's which I bought before realizing they don't fold like XM4's lol, so I feel the headphone pain. You’re almost at the office, and you realize you forgot something important at home. Unsolicited tip: If it's in your budget and your laptop can charge via USB, get one of the new GaN chargers to replace the power brick. I also carry a rather bulky headphones + caseĪll of this will easily fit the small, I carry the equivalent + the lunchbox size in other stuff + a tablet and misc tech in packs that list smaller. I can't say you don't need this much room for a daily, but you might rethink your carry in general if you do? In my mind the TP3 is a onebagging pack.Ĭouple reasonably thick books, a small binder, big laptop charger, and a 15 inch laptop. If you have a REI or something like that near you, go try on some 35L packs. As an example the GoRuck GR3 lists as half an inch taller, and I returned it because it bounced off the top of my butt. Or the A19 Whitley TBH, see the recent posts in this sub comparing them. Or even the City Pack Pro, which is an even smaller version of the same pack. If there's any other details that'd be useful to share, lmk! If anyone could give some insight, that'd be much appreciated! I don't really know how the pack would look on me, I'm trying to gauge. I also have a 19 inch torso, if anyone thinks that's a relevant detail. Some other important things to note: I plan on having this bag for many years, and I want it to be able to do anything I throw at it, including travel with a decent amount of tech gear. Would I be able to fit all that in the main compartment of the travel pack 3 small? Or would I need the full size to make it work? I don't want to have to clip my lunch box on the outside unless absolutely necessary every so often. That leaves books, headphones, charger, and lunchbox for main compartment. From what I can see, I can fit my thin binder/notebook in the space in the laptop compartment. The big issue is that I have the yeti daytrip lunch box, which is really bulky and I don't like walking around having to hold something. I also carry a rather bulky headphones + case with me too. My main use case is everyday college carry, so I'm usually looking at a couple reasonably thick books, a small binder, big laptop charger, and a 15 inch laptop. I'm planning on getting one of the aer travel pack 3s soon, but I'm not sure which one.
